Flushing Christian Outreach (FCOC) Clothing Center Coordinator

We are looking for a dynamic team player that has a drive for promoting positive relationships with the community, is comfortable speaking in front of small audiences, has compassion for those in poverty, and a desire for leading volunteers. An ideal clothing manager must possess organizational skills, a strong work ethic, an outstanding attitude, a compassionate heart, and the love for Jesus Christ. These qualifications are vital to join our administrative team and be a good fit with our vision and mission statements.  The Clothing Center Manager will report directly to the FCOC Program Director.

Basic Duties

  • Opens and secures the building daily

  • Performs administrative tasks using Office Word, Excel, and a database

  • Files documents

  • Answers the phone

  • Posts on social media platforms and responds accordingly

  • Verifies client eligibility

  • Oversees the volunteers when sorting items, hanging/ shelving items, purchasing specific clothing, and assisting clients

  • Schedules volunteers

  • Trains new volunteers about clothing processes and procedures

  • Fosters a positive relationship with all who walk through FCOC doors

  • Processes cash donations from donors

  • Sends donors thank you notes

  • Explains “Helping Hands Partners” to donors

  • Conducts clothing center tours

  • Completes chores, such as, breaks down boxes, takes out the trash, and oversees daily sanitizing chores done by volunteers

  • Performs any other duties as requested by the FCOC Program Director or Board of Directors



Post high school education preferred

Must have experience in a leadership role


20 hours per week

M, T, W, and F from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM/ Th from 12:30 – 4:30 PM

$16.00 - $18 per hour
