HOW YOU CAN HELP
Our neighbors right here in our own Flushing community are reaching out for help to get them through a difficult time. Here’s how you can help:
Prayer is a vital part of the Flushing Christian Outreach Center’s philosophy and day-to-day operations. Every day our volunteers humbly pray together before the doors open. We offer to pray with or for our clients’ needs. Our churches pray for guidance and grace for FCOC as we serve in the name of the Lord. Prayer is something each of us can do anywhere and anytime. Please remember FCOC and its mission in your prayers.
■ Volunteer Your Time
The Flushing Christian Outreach Center will provide training and support for various opportunities for you to be involved: direct services may include greeting people, talking with clients, distributing food, clothes or personal items. If you are a people-person with leadership experience, perhaps serving as a daily Team Leader would appeal to you? Support services may include answering phones, filing, mailings, writing thank you notes, maintenance, sorting food and/or clothes, to name a few. Perhaps you’d like to serve on a committee or board? Additionally, providing church-related services is also important, such as organizing donation drives for FCOC, and coordinating and announcing FCOC events at your church. If you would like information about being a volunteer for the Flushing Christian Outreach Center, please call (810) 487-2223 or CLICK HERE.
■ Donate Food or Clothing
Flushing Christian Outreach Center relies upon the generous donations from individuals and local supporters, such as businesses, community service organizations, schools, and churches, to provide non-perishable, unexpired food and clean, gently-used clothing
■ Provide Financial Support
